I'm done with my major examinations about a week ago. So yup I'm back! I hope my results would be decent though, was a total lazy ass who studied only a night before each paper. LOL GG for my Sciences.

Anyway, I'm still pretty damn stressed though the exams are over.
One reason being the same as most SG cosplayers - AFA preparations.
The second would be the fact that my prom is just 3 days after AFA. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to get my dress, heels and accessories etc in just two days, and it's gonna be exhausting.

Was extremely busy the past week. The weekend right after Os was spent making candyfloss & grilling cheesy hotdogs for extra cash.
Monday@'s place to rush out some props. I got to thank her A LOT for helping me sew some stuff with her factory *JANOME* sewing machine HAHA. <3 Ended up staying overnight at her place drafting and cutting, & I swear her mom is trying to fatten me up even more. -_-ll

Today the usual bunch of friends were over at my house to help each other. They went home around 1AM wtf. Meeting them later again for wig cutting and trial~ /o/

Both cosplays happened to be plans that are supposed to be executed LONG ago. I'm so sorry for the delay, especially for Amu. T_T

As for Robin, I must thank my Enies Lobby OP team for having the enthusiasm(i hope!) despite it being almost a year already. I'm very glad that none backed out as often teams formed too early tend to have members withdrawing, I think. Now I know all of them are true blue, hardcore One Piece fans since ages ago and we really hope to debut our OP cosplay! <3 It's a pity some extra props won't be able to be done in time, though.
...and for once, TAKE THATTT i'm cosing a darker-skinned character so you can't nitpick on my tan-ness! D< /slaps

Well... I'll take the chance to chuck in this rant.

Seriously, what is Cosplay when people are just plainly looking out for extravagant costumes, popular characters, or just wanting/dragging in friends to cosplay. But not because they like the character. It's kinda sad.

And I thought this scenario is rampant in Action games cosplay whereby a LARGE number don't even know the game mechanics. Probably just do some online research, mash some buttons, then get their costume done. Which explains the wrong portrayal, poses etc.

But darn, it peeves me to be aware of such scenarios in ANIME/MANGA cosplay circle. I don't understand a single bit why would some people plan characters they know NUTS of. Especially if the series don't exactly have appealing graphics and you'll probably only love it after you watch/read it. Maybe because the character is popular? Or they think they'd be able to garner loads and loads of attention and fame by cosplaying that character? Who knows. Undoubtedly, attention surely is wanted when we cosplay, kinda as a form of acknowledgment to your hard efforts I guess.
And sorry, if the series is bloody long and your character appears even later, jolly well know at least half of the storyline. You'll never know when you'll make a fool out of yourself with the apparent lack of knowledge of your own character.


At the same time, it's really disappointing to see how some always get away with obvious inaccuracies/lack of effort in cosplay without any constructive criticisms given(loads of praises instead), simply because they are, say, good-looking?

While looks IS a bonus in cosplay... To me, I really admire cosplayers who are able to do most of their costumes or props etc themselves and amazing accuracy(portrayal etc). It just shows how much commitment they have, and its sorta inspiring to me.

I'm talking about this in general, so if this rant do hit the nail on anyone's head(which I hope not)... I dunno. D8
